Mark March 24 on your calendar, the Flames Alumni are coming to town.
The Airdrie Regional Recreation Enhancement Society (ARRES) is hosting a game with the Flames Alumni to take place at Ron Ebbeson Arena as a fund raiser for Genesis Place Phase Three.
"We're really excited to announce the First Annual ARRES Winter Challenge," says Jack Lumley, chairman of ARRES. "We're going to build on all the fabulous work that we've done already to raise funds and awareness for the new twin arenas going into Genesis Place".
Lumley says they are focusing on social media to get the word out.
"We're going to be looking for some sponsors, and we're going to sell tickets, and we're looking to really make it a fun event for the community. @ArresChallenge is the best way to get a hold of us right now."
For every 25 followers they get, they will be releasing another name of an Alumnus joining them in the game. Ticket information, and sponsorship packages will be available within the next week.
