    AMHA Sticks And Pucks

    AMHA is excited to announce that we will have a STICKS and PUCKS ice time during the regular season available exclusively to AMHA members only. These will take place on Friday's from the start of October to March, (a few Friday's not available due to tournaments). We have 2 sheets of ice and they will be divided Initiation / Novice and Atom 5:00 - 6:00 PM on one ice surface and PeeWee / Bantam and Midget 4:45 - 5:45 PM on the 2nd ice surface. There will be no adult supervision. AMHA registered coaches are welcome to skate for free. Full equipment is mandatory and there is no body checking allowed. Cost is $50.00 per player for the whole season. Sign up and register using the link below and your Sports Engine account, passes must be on hand as there will be no drop in allowed. Once you have registered and paid, you can stop by the AMHA office and pick up your pass starting on Monday September 16, 2019.

    RECREATION LEAGUE

    Our Recreation League will be starting up in a couple of weeks and we still have some space available. This league is for 7 to 11 years old. Ice times are one hour in length, Fridays at 4:15 and 5:30. The cost for the season is $390.00.

    We survived evaluations … together!

    Evaluations for Atom to Midget are officially over. The AMHA admin team would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our amazing Executive, Directors and Coordinators for doing an AMAZING job and for their many hours of time spent at the arena and at home. We would also like to add a special THANK YOU to Nicole Gidluck and Blair Snow who have spent pretty much every evening over the past 2 weeks at the Arena assisting wherever needed. And finally a special THANKS to those AMHA members who volunteered their time as evaluators, on ice helpers, timekeepers, player’s box helpers, check in attendants, dressing room attendants, and goalie committee members.

    THANK YOU to Fuel Performance Testing for doing our Time Trials and Top Prospects Goaltending for our goalie evaluations.

    It really does take a big team to make our evaluations happen and we sincerely thank all of you!!

    MANAGER'S MEETING

    AMHA is hosting Manager's Meetings. If you are already on a team or interested in being a Manager this season, please make a note to attend. We have 2 dates available, Wednesday October 09th or Wednesday October 16th. These will take place at the Hampton Inn & Suites at 6:30 PM. Dinner will be provided by Noodle Box

    Ryan Straschnitzki Candidate for New Sports Hall Of Fame Award - Vote Here

    Ryan Straschnitzki is among 16 athletes who are up for a brand new Canada's Sports Hall of Fame award. The People's Choice Award is new for 2019 and recognizes current athletes who are giving value back to their communities while being a champion for their sport. The winner of the award is decided by the public. Straschnitzki, who was injured in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash, is up for the award as a Champion of Para sports and Sledge Hockey in Canada and a Champion for Wings of Life Spinal Cord Research and Para sports. The People's Choice Award will be handed out at the Canada's Sports Hall of Fame 64th Induction Festival on October 23 in Toronto.
