New Player to AMHA 2025-26


The information below pertains to you if your child has never played minor hockey before or has played with a different minor hockey association in a different city and you have just moved to within the Airdrie Minor Hockey boundary.

New to Hockey Players

Hockey Canada has updated the process. Please follow the instructions below

You will need - 

  1. Valid Respect in Sport Parent
  2. Scanned copy of the Birth Certificate
  3. Proof of residency documents (i.e. Drivers license, utility bill, etc. showing your name and current address within the AMHA boundary)

Step 1 - Spordle

  1. Create a Spordle Account and HCR Profile
    • Click here for instructions on how to create both your Spordle Account and HCR Profile
      • Make note of the Hockey Canada ID assigned to you child(ren) upon completion  as you will need this for Step 2. 

Step 2 - Respect In Sport & Declaration

  1. Complete the Respect in Sport Parent course (there is a fee for this one hour online course). A certificate number is required before you can register.
    • Be sure to ADD CHILD during the registration using the Hockey Canada ID number you created in Step 1 (under Child Management). 
  2. Complete the Hockey Alberta Parent Declaration Form (1 per player).
    • This is an online form and requires both parents information, proof of residency document (i.e. Drivers license, utility bill, etc. showing your name and current address within the AMHA Boundary)

Step 3 - Register

  1. Complete your registration through our registration link.
  • Be sure to have your documents ready before you begin as you will need to upload them during the registration process.
  • Please Note: If you have a rural address or postal box number you must enter your legal land description.
  • Ensure that your player position is correct on the registration as it will not be changes. This only applies to U13, U15 & U18. Indicate FORWARD, DEFENCE or GOALIE on player position when registering. We will not be sending out a confirmation notice for positions, it is the responsibility of the person registering to make sure this has been entered correctly.   

 

 

Transferring Players from Another Association

You will need - 

  1. Valid Respect in Sport Parent
  2. Completed Hockey Alberta Parent Declaration Form
  3. Proof of residency documents (i.e. Drivers license, utility bill, etc. showing your name and current address within the AMHA boundary)

Step 1 - Declaration

  1. Complete the Hockey Alberta Parent Declaration Form (1 per player).
    • This is an online form and requires both parents information, proof of residency document (i.e. Drivers license, utility bill, etc. showing your name and current address within the AMHA Boundary)

Step 2 - Upon transfer approval, Register

  1. Complete your registration through our registration link.
    • Be sure to have your documents ready before you begin as you will need to upload them during the registration process.
